Instructions for uploading your web site files using Internet Explorer 6:
1. Open Microsoft Internet
Explorer and go to ftp://yourdomain.com/public_html
2. When the "Log On As" window appears, type in your account username and
password.
Note: If the "Log On As" window does not automatically appear, click
"File", then click "Login As..." on the toolbar. If you receive a "The
Page cannot be displayed" error message, click "Tools", and then "Internet
Options" on the toolbar. When the "Internet Options" window appears,
click the "Advanced" tab, and then make sure that the checkbox labeled
"Enable folder view for FTP sites" is checked.
3. Minimize the Internet Explorer window. Open a "My Documents" window
and then open the local folder on your computer
in which you saved your web site files.
4. Minimize and situate the local folder window (where your
web site files are stored) and the Internet Explorer window so that they are open side-by-side on your
desktop.
5. Drag-and-drop the files from the local folder window to the Internet
Explorer
window. This will transfer/upload the files from your computer to the web
server. Once your files have been transferred successfully, you should
see them listed in the Internet Explorer window. You can then close your
local folder window and the Internet Explorer window.
